FIFTEEN Weekend Post and MyWeekend readers and their partners were given the chance to try out Durbanville Hills’s recently launched merlot rosé in the company of the estate’s charming young white winemaker, Gunther Kellerman, and other guests.

The dinner for our competition winners was held at Amaze in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, with owner Chris Simpson bringing in British chef Jon Hodder (formerly of Shamwari Townhouse) to carefully pair three courses with this light-bodied, dry wine in order to show off its versatility and verve.
